FreshnessHow fresh is the flour?
We mill your order the morning it is delivered (or the morning before an evening slot). The mill date is printed on every pack.
Shelf life and storageHow long does fresh flour keep?
Whole-grain flour still has its germ and oils, so it does not keep like packet atta. Store it airtight in a cool, dark place and use it within the best-before date on the label. In hot months, the fridge helps. Best-before dates are set per grain after shelf-life testing.
How blends are madeHow do you make a custom blend?
Your recipe becomes a mill ticket with kilograms per grain. We weigh each grain, mill the blend together, pack it and print a label with your name, the recipe bar and the mill date.
AllergensWhich allergens do you handle?
We mill on shared equipment that also handles wheat (gluten), barley, oats and chickpea. Every blend page and label lists what is in that blend.
GlutenIs The Old Grain safe for coeliac disease?
No. The Old Grain contains no wheat, but it is milled on shared equipment, so we cannot call it gluten-free and we do not recommend any of our flours for coeliac disease or a gluten allergy.
Dough tipsMy ragi rotis crack. What do I do?
Use warm water, knead longer and rest the dough for 20 minutes. Below about 20% wheat-family grains, pat the roti bhakri style instead of rolling it. The Studio tells you how each blend rolls.

DeliveryWhat are the cutoffs?
Order by 9 PM for a morning or evening slot the next day. Where capacity allows, orders before 10 AM can be delivered the same evening.
RefundsCan I cancel?
Yes, free of charge until milling starts for your slot. Your order page shows the exact time. After milling, a made-to-order pack can be refunded or re-milled for a quality problem.
SubscriptionsHow does Monthly Mill work?
Pick a saved or signature blend, a size and a cadence of 2, 4 or 6 weeks. We remind you 48 hours before each milling so you can skip, pause or change it.
